How It Works

Getting started is easy! Follow these simple steps to help your high schooler take the first step toward financial confidence:

Step 1: Register for an Access Code

Visit the New York Life scholarship page to register and receive an access code. Share this code with your student to begin the process.

Step 2: Download the Zogo App

Your student can download the Zogo app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play. The app provides a fun, interactive way to learn about personal finance.

Step 3: Complete Learning Modules

Using the access code, your student can register in the Zogo app and begin completing learning modules. Each module provides valuable insights into personal finance and prepares them for future success.

Scholarship Submission Requirements

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must meet the following requirements:

• Submissions must be original, truthful, and accurate.

• Students must not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Large Language Models (LLMs) to create their submissions.

• Submissions must be written in English and must not include profanity or inappropriate content.

Each student may only apply once for the scholarship. Completing at least 25 modules will make a student eligible for the $10,000 award, while completing 50 modules will allow them to compete for both the $10,000 and $20,000 awards. Students must submit their own work, and any automated system use or multiple submissions will result in disqualification.

Scholarship Awards and Selection Criteria

Scholarship submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

• Academic performance

• Personal details, such as activities and goals

• Essay quality
